First Aid for Schools
Although we have options below, we are open to create bespoke sessions just for your school. All you need to do is ask.
Primary School

Let me come in and deliver the first aid curriculum for you. I am happy to be led by you or can split the following topics into year groups myself.
First Aid can be delivered in a way which works for your pupils.
The Statutory Guidance from 2020 is:
"Know concepts of basic first-aid, for example dealing with common injuries, including head injuries.
Know how to make a clear and efficient call to emergency services if necessary."

Qualify your Staff

Choose between a variety of courses to find one most suitable for your school.
Emergency First Aid at Work or Paediatric First Aid perhaps? Click here for the options.

Why not team up with other local schools to reduce the overall cost.
First Aid Course for over 16s

Why not host a first aid course which gives your sixth formers a qualifiation (for example, Emergency First Aid at Work or Basic Life Support) in after school sessions?
This is a life skill which would look good on their university applications. Candidates need to be 16 years old on the date of the assessment.
Secondary School

Let me come in and deliver the first aid curriculum for you. I am happy to be led by you or can split the following topics by year group.
First Aid can be delivered in a way which works for your pupils.

The Statutory Guidance from 2020 is:
"Schools should continue to develop knowledge on topics specified for primary as required and in addition cover the following content by the end of secondary.
Know basic treatment for common injuries.
Know life-saving skills, including how to administer CPR.
Know the purpose of defibrillators and when one might be needed."
https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/5f980a63e90e077afc99d4d9/RSHE_Basic_First_Aid.pptx
The government lists examples of good practice, including: "Use purpose-made CPR manikins to demonstrate skills and give pupils opportunities to practise."

I will bring manikins and defibrillators into school for children to practise their skills in a safe, nurturing and fun environment.
Curriculum Topic Meets First Aid

Whether you're looking for specific first aid training for the children or an engaging and interactive 'WOW starter' or 'Fab Finish' for a topic then you've come to the right place.
For example, whilst teaching your topic, would you like a visit from 'Florence Nightingale' to take your children to the Nightingale Training School for Nurses at St Thomas' hospital?
Florence Nightingale Review

"We would also like to thank Fiona Kyte from First Aid South Training for coming in to work with the children as part of our Fab Finish, as Fiona transported the children back in time to meet ‘Florence Nightingale’. The children loved being ‘nurses’ during the Crimean War and were very enthusiastic when bandaging up their friends! We then ‘time travelled’ back to present day where Fiona taught them basic first aid such as how to call 999 and put someone in the recovery position."
